At a special meeting of the LFSD Board of Education on November 1, 2021, revisions to the 2021-2022 COVID-19 Mitigation and Response Plan were approved.
The changes include a metric for when the use of masks may be required at school and an option for asymptomatic close contacts of positive cases to return to school without a quarantine period.
Full text of the revised plan is on our website. https://5il.co/11c2v

Shared with permission from our own Coach Benson:
To some people, high school sports are a way to stay in shape, a chance to build character, realize what it's like to win or lose, show your dedication and make memories. But for some it's a way to make life long friends. Ashley and I go way back to high school. We were competitors in high school, teammates in college and now fellow coaches in the same conference at our alma maters. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her and the program she is running. She's teaching these young athletes what sports are really all about and that's being a team player and showing respect and support. Thank you to the De Soto Pirate Volleyball team and staff for showing your amazing sportsmanship and support in a very disappointing and troubling time. 🏐🐾💜
