We are running several new transportation routes this year so bus pick up times may be a bit different. Please be flexible with timing and call the bus garage at 625-0148 with any questions. Masks are required on buses.
The use of face masks is recommended indoors.
A note from Nurse Emily:
As COVID-19 continues to spread in our area, we ask for your continued support and flexibility. If your student is ill, develops unexplained symptoms that could be related to COVID-19, or has been told to quarantine due to a close contact, please keep your child home, contact their primary care provider, and let the school know of their absence.
Please use the COVID-19 Health Screening Checklist from DHS (linked below) to determine if it is appropriate for your child to attend school. This checklist will also be used at school to assist in determining when to send ill students home. If you have questions regarding symptoms and testing, please contact our School Nurse by emailing Nurse Emily at oiume@lafarge.k12.wi.us, or calling the school office.
If your child is 12 or older and is fully vaccinated, please provide proof of their vaccination record to Nurse Emily. This will assist us in the process of contact tracing and quarantine guidelines, should your child be considered a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case. If you have any questions or concerns related to COVID-19, or the health of your child, please reach out to Nurse Emily.

As we prepare for the 2021-2022 school year, we'd like to introduce some of our new staff! Julia has been working at LFSD "behind the scenes" for over a year working on preparing for the opening of the Kickapoo Valley Forest School, and she is excited to be working with students and families this year!
Julia will be one of our two 4K/K teachers at the Kickapoo Valley Forest School. She lives with her family in La Farge, WI. She has many years of experience working in early childhood and is very knowledgeable about the natural world. Julia enjoys being in and teaching about nature. Her favorite animals are goats and spiders. Julia is currently attending UW-Superior working toward her educational administration license.
Please join us in welcoming Julia to La Farge Schools!
