The Kindergarteners are learning all about wind force in science! To test their ideas about what they were learning, the students did a fun science experiment. Using straws, they tried moving objects with the wind from their mouths. They had so much fun seeing how much force was needed to move different objects and putting their learning to the test!

7th grade science students are using stations to practice their skills with cells! Using stations as a review is a great way for students to take ownership of their own learning and focus on areas they need to improve on.

High school art students are exploring all different mediums this first quarter. (The medium is the tool the students use to create their pieces.) We’re dabbling in charcoal, clay, watercolor and pencil, to name a few. Art helps the students with refining fine motor skills, decision making, social skills and a bit of risk taking while enjoying the process of creating.

Each week the 4K students learn a new letter and do a project to go along with it. Before making the project, the students have fun trying to guess what they will be making by saying things that begin with the letter. Last week they learned the letter S and made a snake. These kinds of activities are important because not only are students working on their letter sounds but they help enhance their fine motor skills and their creativity.

The elementary students had their first PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) assembly today. Students were recognized for following our school rules and classes were recognized for their behavior in various parts of the school. Congratulations to our "shout out" students for doing a great job of learning and following our school rules! We've had a great start to our school year.
