Summer School Information: La Farge Summer School starts tomorrow. Drop off will be behind the school on W. Adams St. at the breezeway doors no earlier than 7:50 am. Pickup will be on Field St. (one-way street along the playground) by 12 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Josh Hansen, 608-606-1052.

This Friday, July 17 will be the final day of meal deliveries. However,meals will still be available for pick up between 8:30 - 11:00 through August 7. La Farge Summer Rec baseball and softball are on for tomorrow, Thursday, July 9th. The Coulee COVID-19 Compass decreased from severe risk to high risk status. Precautions will be in place and group sizes will be kept to a minimum. Practices for for 2nd-5th are 4 pm to 5:30 pm, 6th-9th are 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Be sure to bring your own water bottle. Due to current health conditions in Vernon County (severe risk level according to the Coulee COVID19 Compass), La Farge Summer Rec. practices scheduled between today and next Wednesday are canceled. We are hoping to begin practice Thursday, July 9th. We will post an update by noon on that day.

Summer Rec. baseball and softball practices will start Thursday, July 2nd. Same times for softball and baseball. Students entering 2nd-5th grade: 4 pm - 5:30 pm. Today, much anticipated guidance from DPI and DHS regarding the reopening of Wisconsin schools was finally released. The Education Forward document provides lengthy data-driven recommendations and considerations for schools as they plan to resume services for students during the 2020-2021 school year. At LFS, many hours of research and planning have already taken place, and a special committee is re-convening on Monday to continue to develop solutions to the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic presents. If you have not already, please fill out the Family Survey linked below - your feedback will help to guide our ongoing discussions as we plan. On July 1, La Farge Schools will begin a modified Summer Rec program for students entering grades 2 - 9. Practices will be held Mondays - Thursdays, times yet to be determined. Games *may* be scheduled for late July depending on current health guidance and the availability of other teams. Health and safety precautions will be implemented, details of which will be shared with families who sign up.
